Kadai Fire Pit BBQ

Our Kadai fire pit BBQ adds a special touch to evenings at Thorney Cross. It works beautifully as both a BBQ for cooking and a fire pit for winding down — giving you the freedom to enjoy your outdoor space your way.

For added convenience, the Kadai includes:

A taller stand for comfortable cooking
A lower stand for cosy firepit evenings and marshmallow toasting
A tabletop that fits onto the unused stand, instantly turning it into a handy side table — perfect for plates, drinks, ingredients, or anything you want to keep within reach

It’s simple, practical, and brings a warm, welcoming feel to your outdoor experience.

EV Charging Available

EV charging is available by prior arrangement, using our private on‑site charger. To make use of it, your car will need to be parked on our drive overnight, where it can recharge safely and steadily. We’re very happy to offer this to guests by agreement in advance, and the cost is £20 per charge. Because this is our personal charger, we kindly ask that charging is arranged ahead of time to ensure availability and safe access.

A landscape left to breathe

Around the pods, the land is allowed to grow in its own unhurried way. The long grasses, the scatter of wildflowers, and even the so‑called weeds are all part of the gentle rhythm here. They give bees and butterflies a natural pantry to feed from, and they help the whole meadow hum softly with life.

We’ve tucked small log piles into sheltered corners and created little hideaways where hedgehogs, insects, and other tiny mammals can rest undisturbed. Our bug hotels offer a safe spot for bees and beetles to settle in, adding to the quiet, living heartbeat of the place.

It’s a simple way of caring for the creatures who share this landscape with us, so while you’re enjoying the stillness of the countryside, nature is quietly thriving all around you.

When you stay with us, you’ll automatically get free membership to the Wild Trails Camping Club. This is a little thank you from us to you. It means you’re part of a friendly community that loves peaceful, eco‑friendly glamping/camping as much as you do. The hand‑picked sites across England, Scotland, and Wales keep things calm, close‑to‑nature, and never overcrowded, so you can truly switch off.
